Gillian Welch transforms personal brands into digital powerhouses, crafting marketing strategies that amplify authority and drive meaningful engagement. Her expertise spans analytics, creative design, and project management, making her a dynamic force behind campaigns that captivate audiences and achieve lasting results.
As a Digital Media Specialist, Gillian is dedicated to helping clients harness the potential of digital platforms. From optimizing personal brand websites to designing email campaigns that convert, her approach is rooted in strategic innovation and a deep understanding of audience behavior. Within Forbes Books, Gillian’s contributions extend beyond her role; she is an active member of the culture committee and is quick to raise her hand for new initiatives, reflecting her passion for collaboration and growth.
Before joining Forbes Books, Gillian honed her expertise as a Marketing Specialist at South Street Partners, a luxury real estate development company that owns prestigious membership-focused properties, including Kiawah Island Club, Palmetto Bluff, and The Cliffs. Her background includes leading production efforts for print, digital, and multimedia projects, equipping her with a versatile skill set to meet diverse marketing challenges.
Gillian graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management and minoring in Business Leadership. Her life has taken her across the country, from her roots in Saline, Michigan, to bustling cities like San Antonio, Texas and New York City, and finally landing in Charleston, South Carolina. Experiencing the nuances of these regions—like the fact that no one says “pop” outside the Midwest—has given her a worldly perspective and an adaptable approach to connecting with others.
Outside of work, Gillian spoils her beloved rescue dog, Monty, and is a proud participant of Charleston’s vibrant foodie scene, frequently visiting new restaurants with her friends in “The Dinner Club.” She is also an avid thrifter and thrives on uncovering hidden gems and one-of-a-kind pieces.
